WOMAN’S MISSIONARY UNION

The purpose of the Woman's Missionary Union is to challenge, prepare, and equip Christian believers to be radically involved in fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ – "to pray, to teach, to go and tell, to baptize......" Our children, with very capable leadership and resources, are involved in missions' groups as they study and learn about missions and missionaries in our world. Through our WMU, we provide a class for all age children to learn about missions.
The WMU emphasis for 2022-2023, "A Unwavering Hope," is primarily a call to relationships. In a real word with real-world problems, we are called to pursue relationships with God and others. We are reminded to surrender, sacrifice, and serve others as we become more involved in a missions' lifestyle. God calls each of us to be a part of the Great Commission in our unshakable and steadfast pursuit to take the Gospel to the world. We value each person, and the call God has given them, and we want to help each person in his or her Christian journey.
The special task of WMU is to provide missions' education for all ages as we lead the church to pray, teach, give, and go. Through age level education curriculum such as our magazines, through missions' offering promotions, through our own personal study of missions, we are challenged to continue the WMU legacy started in 1871 to be a part of reaching and loving a lost world. May we listen for God's call to love and make ourselves available for Him to use in any way to spread the word. We celebrate how He has called us to be His disciples by surrendering, sacrificing, and serving all people today and in the days ahead.
